Navy Pier Chicago- A Review

Navy Pier is a privately owned public pier situated on the eastern end of Lake Michigan in the Streeterville neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois, United States, within the Streeterville Village Comprehensive Planning Area. It is part of the Chicago Riverfront/ Northwest Side community. It was designed and built by a group of local architects and engineers under the supervision of Chicago architect Frank Lloyd Wright.

There are many commercial and residential attractions on Navy Pier. Besides housing the Navy Pier Boat Dock, it also houses the Navy Pier Restaurant. The restaurant offers dining facilities and outdoor patio for private events. Apart from this, it offers boat tours, activities, and shows. Apart from this, there is a boat slips that can accommodate up to twelve boats each having a crew of three or more.

Boat slips are a series of steps that leads to a lower level parking area. The boat dock can be accessed through this. There are also stairs leading up to a boarding ramp used to launch a small boat. There is also an electronic lifeboat launch ramp. This is the main facility for launching all types of small watercraft. Some of these slip ways also connect directly to the Navy Pier Boat Dock.

Apart from providing facilities for storing boats, the Pier also has facilities for running boats. There are restaurants for lunch and dinner and a bar for drinks and socializing. For those who would like to tour the water, there are a boat tour of the waterway as well as excursions on a pontoon. There is also a gym that offers swimming classes. Apart from these, there is also a children’s play area with a climbing wall, a rock wall and slide.

This water body also has a picnic area. In addition to this, there is also a concession stand selling sandwiches, hot dogs and coffee. Other services available are lifeguards on duty and trash pick-up.

The Navy Pier also offers boat tours for those looking to sail or just watch. There are different kinds of cruises available for those interested. These include a sunset cruise, which last for three hours, a half-day sailing trip, and a three-day excursion to Norfolk Island, where visitors can see the natural harbor, national park, and native villages. It also includes excursions into the Norfolk Broads, the oldest part of the city.

This place is a great place to shop. There are several stores here selling souvenirs and gifts. They also have a gift shop where you can buy gifts for your loved ones back home. Apart from these, there is also a movie theatre that provides shows that are both classic and modern. These include movies and music.
